Welcome to St. Johns River Magazine!

Hi, I'm Steve Barnes with the Seminole Soil and Water Conservation District. As a former environmental reporter, I was often frustrated by the lack of a comprehensive source of information on the St. Johns. And, as a sailor and kayaker who has spent many, many hours on the river, I wanted to share some of my knowledge and love of the St. Johns with others.

I'm in the middle of a re-election campaign right now, so the site will be a little thin until after November. But as soon as the election is over, we plan to expand this site with the goal of becoming the most comprehensive source of information on the river anywhere.
