Goodwill tour along St. Johns River

Hi folks,

With the campaign behind us, we are moving forward with our long-planned trip down the St. Johns to meet with elected officials, business leaders and environmentalists in an effort to build partnerships that will allow us to find solutions to our pressing water problems without resorting to "water wars."

We plan to leave Sanford on or about Nov. 16 and take our time cruising along in our 26-foot Essex sailboat. Along the way, we will meet with folks who care about the river, do a little kayaking and 'blog here on our experiences. Please check back in the coming weeks to see how things are going. If you live along or near the river and would like to talk about issues related to the St. Johns or water issues in general, please send me an e-mail and we will try to schedule time to meet with you as we pass through your neck of the woods.
